OUTLOOK MAILOX SETTINGS:
Using Windows 98, If you sign in to a set you don't normally sit at and
need to access your emails from that set you need to alter the mailbox
that Outlook opens.
Using Windows 2000 or XP is a simialr process but you will also have a
personal desktop that will retain all your user settings.
Before making any changes make sure Outlook is closed.
OUTLOOK 2000 or OFFICE 2000:
To change the mailbox use the following procedure:
1. Click on the START button.
2. Go to Settings, then Control Panel.
3. Once the Control Panel opens up, double click the Mail icon. This will
open up the MS Exchange Settings Properties panel.
4. Make sure the tab labelled Services is selected at the top of this
properties window, then click to select the Microsoft Exchange Server.
5. Now click the Properties button, this will take you into the Exchange
Server settings.
6. To change your mailbox to another user, enter the new name in the textbox
under Mailbox:. To verify the settings click the button labelled Check
Name, if everything is set up correctly both the name you entered and
the Microsoft Exchange Server text will underline.
7. Click OK to exit the set-up panels.
8. Close the Control Panel.
9. Now open Outlook and it will use the new mailbox you just specified.
OUTLOOK 2003 or OUTLOOK XP:
1. Click on the START button.
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click on the Mail icon in Control Panel
4. This opens the Mail Setup panel, click on E-mail Accounts
5. Make sure View or change existing e-mail accounts is selected, click
Next
6. If nothing is shown in the E-mail Accounts section, click Add and follow
the steps in the section above (from 4 onwards), if there is an account
listed, click on Change.
7. Next to the User Name section, enter your logon name, click on Check
Name, if the name switches to underlined your name has been verified against
the Exchange server, if it is not verified, try entering part of your
username, click the Check Name button again.
8. Click Next and enter and further data, keep clicking Next, until you
reach Finish.
9. Open Outlook
